Join our team: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Sutter County, California. The job is on an industrial construction site. The role involves grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
