Vacancy available: we are hiring a meat cutter in Morehouse Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a wholesale meat market. Day-to-day duties: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Six days a week, one day off. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
