Great opportunity: we are hiring a presser in Cecil County, Maryland. You will work in a tailoring workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep 3+ years on the tools preferred.
