Machinist wanted in Saint Helena Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machinist in Saint Helena Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. On a typical shift you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines 1+ years on the tools preferred.
