Hand presser wanted in Dare County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a hand presser in Dare County, North Carolina. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets On a typical shift you will use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron.
