Immediate opening: foundry labourer (Idaho)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Franklin County, Idaho. The job is at a busy iron foundry. You will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Full-time, day shift.
