The role involves stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height.
