Sheet metal welder wanted in Clay County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Clay County, Illinois. The role involves: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec You should have: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
