Now hiring: we are hiring an uPVC window fitter in LaSalle County, Illinois. You will be based at a uPVC door and window showroom-cum-workshop. Requirements: • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres On the job you will handle: • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile • Drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
