Chiller technician — City of Staunton

Immediate opening: we are hiring a chiller technician in City of Staunton, Virginia. The role involves: • Wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight • Replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch Requirements: • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold • 2+ years hands-on experience in refrigeration and AC • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
