Vacancy available: we are hiring a confectioner in Jim Hogg County, Texas. The job is at a café with an on-site bakery. The role involves: • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe Requirements: • Food handler / hygiene certificate • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Accurate at weighing and following recipes Six days a week, one day off.
