Immediate opening: we are hiring an escalator technician in Cherokee County, Iowa. You will work at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. The role involves install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches. Requirements: • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
