Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete worker in Emmet County, Iowa. The job is on a high-rise slab pour. Day to day you will erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
