Great opportunity: core maker (Missouri)

Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Greene County, Missouri. You will work on the moulding line. Day-to-day duties: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
