Now hiring: groundworker (South Carolina)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a groundworker in Beaufort County, South Carolina. You will be based with a civil contractor. Your main tasks: • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site You should have: • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
