Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Halifax County, North Carolina. On the job you will handle: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Part-time with flexible hours.
