Your main tasks: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
