Argon arc welder wanted in Erie County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Erie County, Ohio. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Your main tasks: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool Six days a week, one day off. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
