Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Keweenaw County, Michigan. You will be based on a high-rise construction site. The role involves: • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway Ideal candidate: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience.
