Immediate opening: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Story County, Iowa. You will work on a bridge and flyover project. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level The role involves: • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb • Assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN) • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured Full-time, day shift.
