Urgent requirement: steel fixing chargehand (Texas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Brooks County, Texas. Day to day you will set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
