Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Clinton County, Iowa. The role involves: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • ITI in welder trade or equivalent 2+ years on the tools preferred.
