Join our team: we are hiring a crane rigger in Yankton County, South Dakota. You will be based on a high-rise building site. The role involves attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
