Immediate opening: we are hiring a TIG welder in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding On a typical shift you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
