Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Lancashire, England. The role involves run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Performance bonus on top of base pay.
