Fire and safety officer • Shenandoah County, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Shenandoah County, Virginia. You will work in a chemical processing unit. Requirements: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions Your main tasks: • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry Full-time with occasional weekends.
