Now hiring: we are hiring a banksman in St. Helens, England. Day to day you will rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
