Foundry operative wanted in North East Lincolnshire

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in North East Lincolnshire, England. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer £1,900 per month plus benefits.
