Precision welder wanted in City of Emporia

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in City of Emporia, Virginia. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection On a typical shift you will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal. We offer $200 per day plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Contact us to fix an interview.
