Join our team: we are hiring an escalator technician in Gloucester County, Virginia. You will be based in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. You should have: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Valid driving licence for site call-outs Day to day you will set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; run load and overload tests with test weights; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway.
