Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Obio/Akpor, Rivers State. You will be based on the moulding line. The role involves: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Full-time, day shift.
