Occupational health and safety officer — Sumter County

Now hiring: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Sumter County, Alabama. The role involves run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date. You should have: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
