Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety On a typical shift you will check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding.
