Presser wanted in Borough of Wigan

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a presser in Borough of Wigan, England. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets The role involves: • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Pay around £7,900 per project, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
