On the job you will handle: • Fault-find control boards and defrost timers • Clean condenser and evaporator coils • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves • Check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge You should have: • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
