Vertical milling machine operator wanted in South Ayrshire

Great opportunity: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in South Ayrshire, Scotland. You will work in a die and mould making unit. You should have: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron The role involves measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed. £2,250 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
