Ironing operator — Petersburg Borough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an ironing operator in Petersburg Borough, Alaska. You will work at a textile finishing unit. Your main tasks: • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
