Now hiring: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Lee County, Alabama. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Able to read isometric and site drawings You will thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply.
