Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Madison County, Alabama. What we are looking for: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling The role involves: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
