Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Thomas County, Nebraska. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances The role involves: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $2,800 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
