Join our team: we are hiring a banksman in Jackson County, Missouri. You will work in a heavy machinery workshop. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Day to day you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position.
