Steel erection rigger • Kennebec County, Maine

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Kennebec County, Maine. The job is at a busy construction site. Day to day you will rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads. You should have: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
