Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Day-to-day duties: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec Six days a week, one day off.
