Fabrication workshop technician — Montgomery County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Montgomery County, Alabama. You will be based in the profile cutting and welding bay. You will cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees; install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter; fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails; cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame. Ideal candidate: • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
