Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Lafayette County, Wisconsin. Day-to-day duties: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings 4+ years on the tools preferred.
