Sand plant operator • Rawlins County, Kansas

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Rawlins County, Kansas. On a typical shift you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
