Occupational health and safety officer wanted in City of Manassas Park

Great opportunity: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in City of Manassas Park, Virginia. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. You will run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports. You should have: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites We offer $3,000 per month plus benefits.
