Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Hamilton County, Kansas. You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection The role involves: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
