Pipe TIG welder • Gem County, Idaho

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Gem County, Idaho. Your main tasks: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
