Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Judith Basin County, Montana. On the job you will handle: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
